Alyssa R. Iglesias was born in New Jersey, but has called South Carolina home for over 20 years. She graduated high school from Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School, and attended the illustrious Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC for 2 years before transferring to the University of South Carolina where she earned her Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science. Alyssa, then, returned to Orangeburg, SC where she worked as a Paralegal for 2 years before attending the University of South Carolina School of Law. After law school, Alyssa clerked for the Honorable Michael G. Nettles in Florence, SC. Alyssa worked in insurance defense for about a year before finding her passion helping clients navigate the difficulties of family court.

Alyssa lives in Columbia with her two dogs and can be found cheering on the Gamecocks every Saturday in the fall. Her hobbies include traveling, trying new restaurants, and playing bridge.
